01 Le festival en bref

75,000 gather for end-of-summer spectacle

Festival du Roi Arthur has commanded the Breton calendar since 2008 as an unmissable three-day summertime institution. Between 50 and 70 artists span every conceivable musical genre—pop, rock, hip-hop, electronic, metal, chanson, world music, R&B and more—performing across five distinct stages within a 20-minute drive of Rennes. 75,000 festivalgoers descend on the Mafeu, a field donated by local farmers, transforming it into a temporary kingdom.

The festival celebrates Musical plurality and artistic risk-taking in a setting tailored for comfort and discovery. Village vendors, street artists, food artisans and animations populate the grounds. The programming rewards exploration: each stage curates a different vibe, from intimate to thunderous, demanding choices and rewarding wanderers. A kingdom for all comers, rooted in Breton pride, the festival has grown into an emblem of Brittany's creative vitality and openness.
