Piano(s) across four intimate evenings
Piano(s) à Pompignan invites listeners to hear the piano beyond its classical cage. Across two consecutive evenings in late July, four concerts explore how this single instrument bridges styles—from minimalist neo-classical to modern jazz, Persian-inflected chamber music to atmospheric impressionism. Each group reimagines what the piano can do, revealing its range and versatility.
Goodbye Jupiter opens with delicate, meditative neo-classical work from a piano-violin-cello trio. Rémi Panossian Trio brings Toulouse jazz energy: inventive melodies, playful rule-breaking and youthful joy. Afshan Trio draws on rich Persian music traditions, subtly transformed by their travels. Slow closes the program with fascinating soundscapes that drift between jazz and chamber music, timeless and introspective.
