01 Le festival en bref

Four days of street art across Mulhouse

Scènes de rue transforms the town into an open-air stage for four days each summer. Since 1998, this festival has anchored itself in the DNA of Mulhouse, breaking down barriers between neighborhoods and generations. Every July, the streets become a shared playground where theater troupes, acrobats, musicians and visual artists perform freely, inviting passersby to stop and wonder.

The festival celebrates Street arts in all forms: theater companies stage inventive pieces, circus performers astound with acrobatics, musicians fill squares with live sound, and installations transform ordinary corners into unexpected galleries. Each year brings fresh energy and artistic innovation. The programming spans comedy, dance, mime, live music and interactive performances designed for all ages.

A city united by curiosity

What makes Scènes de rue singular is its philosophy: culture belongs to everyone, without gatekeepers or fancy venues. Families, regulars, newcomers—all gather in the same streets, drawn by the same appetite for discovery. The festival operates as a collective endeavor, with municipal services, local partners and community volunteers weaving together the logistics that let artists shine.

The festival also commits to Cultural access for all, supported by initiatives in sustainability: waste sorting, chemical toilets, plastic-free zones and soft mobility options reduce its footprint. In Mulhouse, Haut-Rhin, Scènes de rue remains a model for inclusive, joyful street celebration. Consult the official site for exact dates, full program and ticketing.
